Description:

This book contains nine short stories, all focusing on young people living away from earth on separate planets or out among the stars. The stories are written by an all star cast of science fiction writers like Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury and are a lot of fun and very well written. The stories vary from a story about a young stowaway on a space vessel who is taken under the wing of the ship's captain to a tale about one of the early colonies of earthlings where the kids are bigger than the grown ups!

Review:

This book is a lot of fun and the stories vary greatly in their subject matter and in the author's style so that the reader gets the full flavor of what is possible in science fiction. The stories are really well written and capture that sense of wonder that good sci-fi so often does. The protagonists in all of the tales are young boys and girls (often falling within the 'tween' age range) which helps to make the stories more relatable for the children. A book that I had a lot of fun pouring over and one that I think any 'tween' interested in sci-fi or even just fun stories would really enjoy.
